In alignment with KFC’s 2015 Zinger promotion, three adventures were planned for three lucky social media winners. DRT coordinated the trips and arranged for media attendance at each.
As part of the Post 2015 Development Agenda and 70 Year UNESCO Celebration, DRT worked with UNESCO to host a public panel and cocktail event at the Hyatt Zilara, Rose Hall.
DRT coordinates the entire Great Party Experience for Pizza Hut Jamaica social media fans; from the social media competition to the roundtrip transportation, and provision of a Great Tasting Pizza for the winner and their friends to enjoy.
Each year, Payless ShoeSource donates hundreds of shoes to Jamaican children in the care of the state. Among those children, about 25 are treated to a shoe shopping expedition, lunch, and a fun outing.
After the May 2016 fire, DRT was on the job to keep the public updated about the situation and safety of the team. When the factory was rebuilt from the ground up, DRT was also on hand to to handle the public relations for the opening of the new factory.
Heineken launched a pop-up two-day event during August 2016, celebrating Jamaican music, food, fashion, and art. DRT Communications was responsible for the public relations aspect of the execution and achieved more than US$7,000.00 in AVE, with over 2,000,000 impressions.
On behalf of WATA we executed a children’s treat for the Bustamante Hospital for Children in partnership with Shaggy’s Make a Difference Foundation, and coordinated the handover for the proceeds raised through the 2016 Shaggy & Friends Concert.
Heineken, long-time sponsor of the UEFA Champions League, launched their 2017 trophy tour in Jamaica. DRT Communications, as the public relations agency for Heineken NV created the local buzz as it travelled across the island, from Kingston to May Pen to Ocho Rios and finishing in Montego Bay.
Red Stripe in their Rio Olympics 2016 campaign celebrated Jamaica’s athletic success with multiple activations throughout the summer running concurrently in trade, in digital, and in press. We engaged the press, the public, celebrities, and influencers to get all of Jamaica going for gold.
Child abuse is a big problem in Jamaica, especially as it relates to reporting to the correct agency. DRT Communications Ltd was honoured to have worked on this campaign, along with UNICEF, to encourage the reporting of incidences of child abuse to the Office of the Children’s Registry.
From cell phone sound clashes, to paper plane competitions, to cliff diving, to can-inspired carnival costumes, Red Bull Jamaica brought a unique level of activation to Jamaica and DRT was happy to be a part of the execution and public relations team that put it all together.
As assistant project managers for Restaurant Week Jamaica, each year we assist on the project from conception to completion. This includes liaising with the restaurants, and sponsors, planning the launch, public relations, and other general activities.
Digital Jam was a tech initiative for Jamaicans put on by the World Bank and the Government of Jamaica. It consisted of a series of activities including a hackathon, a mobile apps contest, app development workshops and tech camps all culminating in a Market Place and Job Fair.

Virgin Atlantic came to Jamaica, ‘Flying in the Face of Ordinary’ as they toured the island visiting some of the country’s most iconic businesses and locations. Two Virgin Atlantic flight attendants spread smiles and cupcakes over their three-day tour.
